Assumptions
Projected super balance at retirement:
The projected total super balance takes into account your starting balance, employee and employer contributions, any additional voluntary contributions as well as interest earned between now and your retirement.
Retirement age:
We have assumed a default retirement age of 65. This can be adjusted in the calculator.
Working life:
The calculator assumes that you will have a continuous working life with no breaks up to your retirement age.
Interest rate:
The default investment returns have been set at 6.0%. This is based on the Nambawan Super 10-year average interest rate.
Employee contributions:
PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 6% is the mandatory minimum contribution for employees to make. Employees may choose to contribute more than the minimum.
Employer contributions:
PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 8.4% is the mandatory minimum contribution that employers have to make. Employers may choose to contribute more than the minimum.

Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual for the position of Senior Systems Administrator reporting to the Team Leader – Infrastructure Support, based in Port Moresby.
The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for implementing and maintaining mission critical infrastructure for Nambawan Super Limited and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security in line with the company's business objectives, strategies and vision statement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems (Windows Server), applications, and system management tools.
- Administer and support core Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory and Exchange, as well as VMware servers and infrastructure.
- Proactively monitor all systems, performing daily high-level checks and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Implement robust server security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Manage and implement patches and upgrades according to Change Management policies.
- Address findings from IT General Controls (ITGC) audits and penetration tests.
- Apply risk management principles to all administrative tasks.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot daily and monthly backup and replication jobs to disaster recovery (DR) sites.
- Participate actively in scheduled Disaster Recovery (DR) testing plans.
- Provide timely second-level support for all system-related issues.
- Ensure Helpdesk tickets are closed within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Practice and apply the ITIL framework to day-to-day IT activities.
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems, configurations, procedures, and processes.
- Actively participate in, and occasionally take the lead on, specific ICT projects as delegated by Team Leader Infrastructure and/or ICT management.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Microsoft 365 Certification or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in Windows Server environments (2019, 2022, 2025) and Windows 10/11 desktop OS.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2016,2019 Microsoft 365, and Active Directory/LDAP administration.
- Experience managing server virtualization technologies (VMWare Server/ESX) and working knowledge of VEEAM and Cohesity unified backup recovery platform.
- Ability to automate tasks using PowerShell and familiarity with patch management, utility monitoring, and risk management software (e.g., Purple Knight).
- A basic understanding of TCP/IP and general network administration principles.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Career-driven, able to multitask, manage time effectively, and work well under pressure.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills and a keen interest in research and development.
- Flexibility in working weekends or non-standard hours, or as and when required to facilitate critical system updates and scheduled maintenance with minimal business interruption.
- Able to live and work in Port Moresby.
