Assumptions
Projected super balance at retirement:
The projected total super balance takes into account your starting balance, employee and employer contributions, any additional voluntary contributions as well as interest earned between now and your retirement.
Retirement age:
We have assumed a default retirement age of 65. This can be adjusted in the calculator.
Working life:
The calculator assumes that you will have a continuous working life with no breaks up to your retirement age.
Interest rate:
The default investment returns have been set at 6.0%. This is based on the Nambawan Super 10-year average interest rate.
Employee contributions:
PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 6% is the mandatory minimum contribution for employees to make. Employees may choose to contribute more than the minimum.
Employer contributions:
PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 8.4% is the mandatory minimum contribution that employers have to make. Employers may choose to contribute more than the minimum.

We are currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated individual for the position of People & Culture Business Partner for our People and Culture Department.
Reporting to the Manager People & Culture Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for the delivery of strategic people & culture objectives as well as collaborate with Department Heads and its staff to deliver P&C initiatives and processes, P&C support and guidance that contribute to the improvement of performance, retention, employee experience and the business.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Managers to identify vacancies and plan for sourcing talents.
- Responsible for employee onboarding and probation monitoring.
- Partner with department heads to manage and improve staff performance issues.
- Identify talent needs, anticipate requirements and work with L&D team to develop strategies.
- Provide guidance and support to Managers and facilitate employee disciplinary matters.
- Partner with department heads to implement change initiatives, ensuring employee engagement.
- Responsible for smooth staff off-boarding process.
- Create supportive and engaging working environment that empowers employees.
- Manage P&C database and organizational structure ensuring up to date data.
- Support Manager People & Culture Operations and Team Leader People & Culture Operations in other duties.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in HRM, Business Administration or related course.
- 5 years’ experience in HR Generalist role or 3 years in similar role.
- Must possess sufficient knowledge in HR with a willingness for continued learning.
- Good understandings of PNG Employment Law and Regulation.
- Ability to develop, promote and execute HR best practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills. Be able to communicate at all levels.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Possess good problem solving skills.
- Outstanding personality, can work over and above nominal work scope.
