Assumptions
Projected super balance at retirement:
The projected total super balance takes into account your starting balance, employee and employer contributions, any additional voluntary contributions as well as interest earned between now and your retirement.
Retirement age:
We have assumed a default retirement age of 65. This can be adjusted in the calculator.
Working life:
The calculator assumes that you will have a continuous working life with no breaks up to your retirement age.
Interest rate:
The default investment returns have been set at 6.0%. This is based on the Nambawan Super 10-year average interest rate.
Employee contributions:
PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 6% is the mandatory minimum contribution for employees to make. Employees may choose to contribute more than the minimum.
Employer contributions:
PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 8.4% is the mandatory minimum contribution that employers have to make. Employers may choose to contribute more than the minimum.

Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the position of General Manager Brand, Marketing & Communications for our Brand, Marketing & Communications Department.
This role is primarily responsible to provide executive leadership of NSL’s Brand, Marketing & Communications function, driving strategic brand management, digital engagement, customer experience, and stakeholder communications to enhance the Fund’s reputation, Member engagement, and long-term growth.
Key responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership as part of NSL’s executive team, driving brand, marketing, and communications initiatives.

Develop and deliver NSL’s brand, marketing, and communication strategies to enhance reputation, Member engagement, and customer loyalty.

Oversee digital, media, PR, and stakeholder communications to strengthen NSL’s position as an industry leader.

Lead internal communications and change initiatives to boost staff engagement and retention.

Drive community, education, and awareness programs to safeguard Member interests and promote financial security.

Conduct research to guide Member acquisition, retention, and product development.

Lead the development and publication of NSL’s Annual Report and other major corporate publications.

Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient operations.

Build team capability through coaching, professional development, and succession planning.
Skills & Experience
-
Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related discipline.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in marketing/business communication or similar role.

Must have excellent strategic planning skills.

Experience in developing policies/procedures and process improvement where necessary.

Marketing and Communication expertise including research, branding, advertising, direct marketing, PR & media relations, event management, campaign management, internal communications, digital marketing and social media.

Experience in leading, managing and inspiring teams achieve strategic objectives.

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Sound interpersonal and negotiations skills.

Sound industry knowledge and/or understanding of superannuation/financial services/insurance.\
