Assumptions

Projected super balance at retirement:

The projected total super balance takes into account your starting balance, employee and employer contributions, any additional voluntary contributions as well as interest earned between now and your retirement.

Retirement age:

We have assumed a default retirement age of 65. This can be adjusted in the calculator.

Working life:

The calculator assumes that you will have a continuous working life with no breaks up to your retirement age.

Interest rate:

The default investment returns have been set at 6.0%. This is based on the Nambawan Super 10-year average interest rate.

Employee contributions:

PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 6% is the mandatory minimum contribution for employees to make. Employees may choose to contribute more than the minimum.

Employer contributions:

PNG Superannuation laws dictate that 8.4% is the mandatory minimum contribution that employers have to make. Employers may choose to contribute more than the minimum.

Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced individual for the position of Assistant Internal Auditor within the Internal Audit Department based at Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) Head Office, Port Moresby. 

The position reports to the Manager Internal Audit. The incumbent will assist operational efficiency of the Audit & Risk Department by carrying out programs to report on adequacy of internal control systems and adherence to procedural requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assist with specific request on investigations and reviews.
  • Assist with Internal Audit Projects in line with annual plans.
  • Provide administrative support to the division.
  • Periodic review of adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. 
  • Keep track of internal audit reports and ensure corrective action is taken. 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business Studies.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position.
  • CPA PNG or IIA membership would be an advantage.
  • Sound understanding of Accounting/Finance, Banking, and Internal Audit Standards in evolution of business processes/areas/ functions.
  • Knowledge of Superannuation would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Computer Software.
  • Proven experience in Internal Auditing.
  • Good Analytical Skills.
